THEY WERE THE FACTORY BLADES. I can't tell you how amazed I was that the stock blades lasted over 100,000 miles and 7+ years, in a snowy climate.
Toyota's wiper blades are extremely good quality especially for the money, about $24 each online.
This is why I am glad Toyota/Lexus still sells just the replaceable blade itself. Less waste and their wipers are better fitted to the windshields.
I always buy orignal Toyota replacement wipers. 35+ years experience with Toyota products, and they give the best value.
Factory blade design has been great for me and live in lake county, il
The only front wiper blade I can get that is the correct size and will snap in correctly is from the toyota dealer. I am in florida and get about 1 a year.
I've had my 2019 S since May, 2018. The original wipers wiped OK, but began to get noisy a few months ago. We just went into the rain season here, so I replaced them with new from a VW dealer in San Antonio TX. The new ones are dead silent and wipe cleanly and completely.
Another thing you might notice on your Tig is that every once in a while when you switch your car off or turn it on, the wipers will "twitch", basically just move a couple of millimeters up or down. It's to prevent them from sticking to the glass and baking on, in areas where you might not use your wipers for weeks of months at a time. It supposedly keeps the blade's edge in healthier shape.
Factory blade design can’t handle Midwest freezing rain.
I picked up some OEM toyota wiper blades from a certified ebay seller and after a few week I started getting streaks and doesnt wipe properly.
