Michelins from Costco are the best I've used yet.
I use Michelin. Never had an issue
The Michelin blades I put on over a year ago are just now maybe starting to need to be replaced.
Michelin Guardia+ blades - $7.99 each on sale at Costco - way better than OEM, way cheaper than Bosch. Even if they don’t last as long as Bosch, I can replace them 3 times as often and still save money.
They’re Michelins. Work great.
The other 4 cars in the family all do better with heavy rain than the CX30 did when I got it. I did figure it out after a while. Step 1 re-bend the wiper arms by hand just a little so they have more firm contact with the glass ( old mechanic trick ), Step 2 Rain X the glass using the wipes not in the washer tank, Step 3 front defroster on cold. This works for me in Florida torrential downpours at 90 degrees, 80% humidity and 1/2 inch per hour rain rate while doing 65-70. Works way better now. I still use auto mode for wipers most of the time, but I do use high for anything over a light rain as they are still a little slow compared to the 2018 Escape, 21 Tahoe or even 87F150. My other Mazda is way better as far as wipers go.
I tried the Michelins from Costco one time. They streaked and chattered on the first use.
Dealership/official Mazda service basically gave me a middle finger. So new car, issue since first rain. They said that they've put a replacement rubber for free and that it's normal for it to make sounds. Nothing more they can do :D In case you're wondering, it's acceptable that your new car even with replaced blades sounds like 30y old rusty from your local junk yard. Such a shitty experience. My first and last Mazda. It's too much work apparently to replace the wiper itself under warranty or at least investigate (since the issue is gone at higher speeds >> could indicate faulty spring/wrong pressure).
I am currently riding passenger in a terrestrial downpour in Florida. The highest speed if these wipers is a joke. I have had many cars before this and this “high speed” was a lot closer to the mid speed of my previous vehicles. Super disappointed Mazda thought this was enough.
Same here. A few years ago I thought they were a great deal. Now they are both worth installing. Just pay a bit more for another brand.
