I used Bosch Icons for many years but recently switched to Denso Designers. The Densos work a bit better and last a bit longer on my car, although they are more expensive.

Pros: Densos work better
Cons: Densos more expensive

As someone who lives in New England, I've had my best experiences with VW's OEM wipers and PIAA super silicone. Bosch icons were a close 3rd.

I use the rain-x or bosch wipers the most. I like them both really well.

The Bosch wipers on my '08 do a pretty good job imo. Got newer ones put in last summer when I had to get the wiper relay board/motor replaced but after that they got me through a rough n' tough Wisconsin winter. So they'll probably hold up if you're just dealing with rain in SF.

Bosch 1000%. RainX are great but every pair I\u2019ve had wore out really quickly & Michelin wipers only covered like 70% of my windshield. Go Bosch & never go back.

The rubber may be more stiff than the manufacturer's original wiper blades were. So the spring is not strong enough to keep them against the glass. This is why I never, ever buy Bosch or Trico blade replacements.

Cons: stiff rubber, weak spring
