Windshield OEM Mazda or OEM FORD

I had my Flash windshield replaced. New one looks great and did not notice any noise increase.

36k miles and just a small chip that I got in a gnarly hail storm in Nebraska while driving cross country. That was when it was brand new. No issues with it since. Was waiting for it to get worse before I took it in for the windshield recall but it never worsened.

3 years 65k miles and a lot of off-roading and high speed road trips. A few chips, no cracks, same factory windshield.

I have had 1 small chip in my 2013 Mazda 3. It happened in a construction zone and I was able to get it into safelite that same day and had the chip fixed within an hour. That one has stayed pretty good, but it is noticeable.

I know how to repair windshield chips to prevent them from spreading myself, but as soon as it chips in the bronco, the cracks spread like wildfire and are >6” before I get home!

I just came looking for this post because I cannot believe the amount of chips and cracks I'm having with this car. Just had safelight out for the 3rd time and haven't even reached a full year with this car yet.

Garbage. I got scratches from scratching ice of the windshield in my first year. Even my old Renault Clio hadn't had this sh1t of quality in it's windshield.

When I had my CX-5, I've never had so many cracks in my windshield as I did with this car. Constant cracks, chips... I've never seen anything like it. I've been driving for 40 years and this was the first and only vehicle which always suffered cracks and chips.

weak glass from my similar experience. I will say I have less bad luck with the 3 Hondas and they get more miles on the same roads.

So on our 2019 we are now on our second replacement windshield. The first one was NOT OEM and we could tell. The HUD was fuzzy with a second mirrored image behind it, the lane detection was not as good, and in bright head on sunlight all the safety features would shut off due to the glare.
