AISIN Water pump

I had my timing belt done by not a Volvo specialist specifically, but a “European brand” mechanic. They used an Aisin pump / Gates belt kit and life is good.

Pros: life is good
Vehicle: Volvo V50

Saleri Water pump

After researching I decided upon a Saleri pump from World Impex since it has the resin impeller and is 1/4 the cost of OEM. Well, the first one arrived with one of the vanes broken off the impeller. Impex rma'd it, but the second one arrived in even worse shape with a big chunk broken off the impeller. I attribute it to poor packaging.

Pros: 1/4 the cost of OEM
Cons: vanes broken off
