Tires YOKOHAMA or Vredestein

Vredestein Tires

I have the 225/40-18 Vredesteins on my 7.5R. I can't compare to the Firestones directly, but I'm very happy with the Vredesteins. After breaking them in I'm quite happy with how well they stick in the dry, and their performance in ~8" of snow was outstanding.

Pros: stick well in dry, outstanding snow performance

Vredestein Tires

They are good, but the tests are misleading here. A Y-rated UHP tire is being compared to V-rated Touring tires. You’ll see those Vredesteins have only a 400 UTQG so don’t expect mileage here as compared to other tires in the test.

Pros: good UHP tire
Cons: low mileage

Vredestein Tires

I am running the Quatrac Pros on my R (225/45 18), and have been really happy with them. I ended up running them year round. They are a really impressive tire.

Pros: really impressive tire
Cons: sketchy in the rain

Vredestein Tires

I have Vredestein Quatrac 5 (I think that's the model, not sure if it's still a 'current' tire) on my Alltrack, also an '18 SE. I drove them on some hard pack and a little ice last winter and thought they were good.

Pros: good on hard pack, good on ice
Cons: not as good as winter tire
Vehicle: Volkswagen

I just replaced my stock tires with Vredestein Quatrac Pro tires (205 55R17 for me). These Dutch made tires seem to be quieter and have a better grip than the Falken OEM.

Pros: quieter, better grip

In August 2020, I had Yokohama Avid Ascend LX installed on the vehicle and I have to say that 2 months later that was the best decision I made to swap the OEM's off. My CRV came back to what it used to be and even better in the driving experience. The road behavior is great, breaking is solid and my gas mileage went way down. Wet driving feel really safe.

Pros: great road behavior, safe
Vehicle: Honda
Mileage: 47000 km

I had Yokohama’s but I’m not sure if it was my car or the tires I got were defective they kept shaking over 70 miles . I got them re balanced twice and eventually gave up and got a new set

Cons: shaking over 70 miles
