Love my Yokohama geolandar x-at’s! Great grip AT tires without adding much road noise

Yes legit! Bought Yokohama tires way back 2019 before pandemic in S&R BGC.

I also have a 22 Rav and hated the stock Dunlop Grandtrek tires. I finally swapped them out with a set of Yokohama Avid Ascend and i am very happy with them. Very quiet.

My Crosstrek still has the original Yokohama tires at 77k miles sitting at 7/32".

I've been pretty happy with the cost/benefit of Firestone Indyhawk/Indy500/whatever they're calling them these days, on the stock wheels. They don't last long (I get 10-15k miles out of a set) but they're damn cheap ($650-$750), and break traction quite easily and predictably, if you enjoy going a little sideways often. I usually am running the Flying Miata alignment specs with these tires break loose fantastically easily and enjoyable for me on that alignment. On a factory alignment though they are reasonably grippy for spirited street driving. Again though the biggest benefit of them is they are super widely available (because Firestone) and CHEAP.

I have a set on my 06 corolla. I remember noticing the floating feeling with these. They do last longer than others. Im looking for a bit more stability without breaking the bank.

Did a bunch of research and ended up with Yokohama avid ascend GT. Reviews were good, dry and wet performance were all great, I only saw some negatives about wear being quicker and 1 Reddit comment about how bad it handed.

That Reddit comment was right. On center it was the most vague I could turn the steering wheel a few inches and feel nothing. It felt like it was drifting at times as if it were gusting.

These are knockoffs. The new 60k 4runner has Yokohamas that are 100 bucks each at Walmart
