Tires YOKOHAMA or Continental

Continental Tires

Mechanic recommended Continental ProContacts as all-weathers for a small FWD VW sedan, and I've been happy with them for a couple winters.

Continental Vikingcontact 7 is by far my favorite for snow and ice mix (we get a lot of slush with ice under it here). also pretty quiet for a winter tire on dry roads.

Pros: quiet on dry roads

Currently on Continental winter contact TS860 235 35 19, cannot say a word against them in light and heavy snow conditions.

Pros: good in snow conditions

YOKOHAMA Tires

Right now I've got a set of Yok A052s on for autocross. They've served me well for that purpose, but everyone says not to run them on the track or that's the end of those tires. Given the wear I've seen just from one short season of autocross, I believe them.

Pros: served well for autocross
Cons: high wear, not for track

My first mini had about 3 degrees and would get about 5k miles out of a pair of front tyres. That was with yokohama A008s all round.

Cons: low mileage, fast wear
Vehicle: MINI
Mileage: 8047 km
