Tires YOKOHAMA or Continental

Continental Tires

I’ve have Continental DWS06 Plus’s on my WRX for 3.5 years and haven’t slid in the snow once. I live in Western Pa and get about 27-35 inches of snow a year.

Pros: no sliding in snow
Vehicle: Subaru

I'm on Yokohama Advan v701's after purchasing this past summer. Grip in the dry is excellent and when pushed to the limit they are very predictable. They're also so good in the rain it's crazy. they are quiet and comfortable on the shitty Dallas roads. It's been great dailying them so far. Only complaint is that I'm technically not supposed to drive them under 40F but hey they are summer tires.

Pros: excellent dry grip
Cons: under 40F

Continental Tires

Continental ECS 02. 205/50-15. $140 each.

Even though a 340 rating they bite hard and still do quite well with cooler weather and light rain.

Pros: bite hard, good weather

I previously had on the coveted Conti DWS 06+ and they sucked. Here’s what I did not like about them. The continental did not have the extra little bead around the rim to protect it. The front tires always look like they were under inflated, even though they were at the correct pressure and there was always a ring of dirt around the sidewalk where it looked like it was basically running on the side sidewalk half the time through turns with the flexing. The continental tires only lasted about 22,000 miles.

Cons: no rim protection, looked underinflated, poor tread life
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 22000 km
