I've gotten Generals winter tires before and they were quite good as well and likely a cheaper option.
I know I'll probably get shit for this but, General. I specifically bought the Grabber APT; I've had 0 problems with them, and I would 100% buy them again.\n\nThey were the best-quality tire for what I was willing to spend, since I was also going to a new wheel size and needed different wheels.
On my second set of AT General Grabbers, the first set lasted 117,000kms (I’ve had the 04 TD5 since new).
so sick, i had a lifted 2013 hatch with white OZ’s and General Grabber AT’s. most fun i ever had in any of my subarus
I put General AltiMAX RT45 XL on our 23 Y. About 10k miles in, and they look and feel great.
I have the Generals on my 2000 Boxster. They are pretty good. I can take a 90° turn off a hiway road onto another hiway at 55mph, 60 mph is the edge of traction for a 320 treadwear tire. Spins out at 65mph.
Being picky I wish the sidewalls were a little stiffer. The ride is plusher than the Sumitomo HTR(another not bank breaking option) in my opinion.
I like my General Altimax all-season tires. I did eco tires before and felt like they had no grip.
Mine had G-Max's when I bought it...just replaced them last year with another set. They are a great tire.
They were awesome and very, very grippy when thick (and warmed up). But once you wear half of the thread, the grip changes considerably. And it becomes dangerous below that.
2022 F150 Lightning Platinum with original General Grabber HTS60 275/50R22 115H tires. Treadwear warranty 65,000 miles. At 18,300 miles Right rear tire developed rumbling vibration transitioning to a thump thump on highway. Pulled over to find a foot long bump where the tread was separating from the belt.
