Falken Tires

I use the Falken RT660+ on my NC during Race Season/Non Winter.

Really fun grippy tires, and are only $180 a tire in a 225/45/17 last I checked. They will drive in the rain just fine as long as there is not standing water (puddles) as well.

I daily on them and autocross on them during the warmer months

Pros: fun grippy tires
Vehicle: Mazda

For that New England -> Montana winter highway run, the Falken Wildpeak AT3W is honestly the safest all-terrain you can throw on a Tacoma without going full snow tire. They bite way better on packed snow/ice than KO3s and stay stable at highway speeds.

Pros: safest all-terrain
Vehicle: Toyota

Wildpeak AT4Ws, 255/85r16s, never go back. True 33s, no modifications needed to the truck at all. They are beasts in the snow and ice, I wouldn't even worry about having true snow tires with them honestly. They have crushed two Northern Michigan winters in a row now.

Pros: beasts in snow and ice
Vehicle: Toyota

Toyo Tires

I like my Toyo AT3s. Just went to Pennsylvania for a project and they handled the snow and ice pretty well. It felt like I was driving in the rain with them but they had enough bite to slow me down and keep me in control on all the hills and inclined roads over there.

Pros: handled snow and ice well

Toyo Tires

If your ’25 RAV4 XLE Premium came with Toyo A39s, I’d honestly switch them sooner rather than later the hydroplaning complaints are real, especially once they wear in

Pros: better wet-weather grip
Cons: hydroplaning complaints
Vehicle: Toyota

Toyo & Nitto Tire Recall Alert

If you’re running Toyo or Nitto tires, take a minute to check your setup—there’s an official recall that could affect your safety.

An isolated issue in the belt manufacturing process may cause the tread or belt to separate while driving. This can lead to reduced control and increase the risk of a crash.

Pros: recall affects safety
Cons: reduced control, risk of crash
