Dry traction is great, Ill be able to give you a better idea when i get my suspension installed this week. No noise at all, ive put a couple thousand miles on the tires. The tires are surprisingly quiet. So far so good

Pros: great dry traction, quiet
Cons: outside edge wearing
Mileage: 2000 km

just got some put on my ride yesterday. I am very pleased so far. We had a ton of rain here yesterday and the new shoes grip like mad on wet pavement.

Pros: good grip on wet pavement

Go with the Toyo T1-S tires they are unbelievable, more expenisve then the Potenzas, but also a better tire. Consumer Reports also rated them better then the Potenza for ultra high performance tires, so it's more then just my opinion.

Pros: better tire, high performance
Cons: more expensive

Man these things blow the stock tires out of the water. I havent had a chance to really put them through their paces, but I did spend ~15 min messing around in an empty parking lot. I agree reguarding the ride/sound.

Pros: better ride/sound

I am currently running them on my GLI on the street, and they are great tires! Very quiet, good ride, good dry grip, haven't had a chance to test them in rain yet. I would recommend them if you want an all-season UHP, that you can do the occasional autox on.

Pros: very quiet, good ride

I've run Toyo RA-1s and thought they did a fine job, although I never did better than 2.1. With more launches under my belt, my Dunlop SP8000s have performed as well.

Pros: did a fine job
Cons: never did better than 2.1

With regard to tire pressures, btw. I'm running T1-S in a 245/45 16 size on my S6 wagon, with 36 pounds of pressure in each tire. I started out at 34, and picked it up to 36.

Pros: Good tire pressure

I had the Toyo FZR's (I think) on my all-season 1.8T. Not the best by any stretch, but not too shabby in the muck either. Got me through 2 winters and only 1 time was I sweatin' with grip problems.

Pros: got through winters
Cons: not the best

I can speak to the Toyo's from experience. I had them on my RSX-S, 225-45-17. I can only rate them as moderate. Grip is good, but not great. Certainly no better than F1's. Sidewall stiffness also is good, but not great. Press on the sidewall of an un-inflated T1-S, and you'll see. They are not terribly stiff. One thing I would give them an "F" on is noise. They were noticeably louder than the stock Michelines I had when new. And by 20k miles, they absolutely howled. I personally won't buy them again.

Pros: Grip is good
Cons: noise, not terribly stiff
Vehicle: Acura RSX
Mileage: 32187 km
