For my winter set I'm using the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 (205/55/r16) and while not as good in the snow as the Conti WinterContact, they handle amazingly in wet conditions (we get quite a bit of rain) and are relatively silent and good on fuel.

Pros: handle amazingly in wet
Cons: not as good in snow

Bought a set of p7 2s last spring. On my 2nd season now. Great tire. Rolls super smooth. Basically minimal noise. Pure comfort tire. I drove with them from toronto canada to miami florida last year. No issues at all.

Pros: rolls super smooth

BRIDGESTONE Tires

The Bridgestone is going to be faster. The nankang would probably wear a little bit better call and is more heat tolerant. But not as fast when cold, and also heavier. If you were happy with the Bridgestone I would have to say probably stay there

Pros: more heat tolerant
Cons: not as fast when cold

Pirelli Tires

I have 10k on the Pirellis. Haven’t checked remaining tread yet, but they’re decent. Only gripe is they track on grooved pavement.

Pros: they're decent
Cons: track on grooved pavement
Mileage: 10000 km

BRIDGESTONE Tires

I moved to the Anchorage, AK area several months ago. In November, we received a couple of feet of snow. I drove fine in the snow with the stock Turanza tires the first day. But lots of compacting, melting, and refreezing made the roads slick as hell. The stock tires were slipping and sliding all over the ice.

Pros: fine in snow first day
Cons: slipping and sliding
Vehicle: Mazda

I went from stock 19-20mpg highway, 16-17mpg around town to a 3.5"lift and 295/70r18 Bridgestone Revo AT3s and now I average about 12mpg city and 15-16mpg highway.

Pros: aggressive look
Cons: lower MPG
