Tires Pirelli or BRIDGESTONE

Pirelli Tires

I've seen similar sentiments online about Pirelli that didn't really match my experience. Most of my favorite driving sets of tires have been Pirellis. Not necessarily best by the numbers, but by how they felt on some of my more communicative cars on the road.

Pros: favorite driving sets

Depends on the model. I’ve had some great experience with Pirelli Scorpions and the P Zero. Usually not my brand of choice but if nothing is available and they are I’ll run them. Definitely more of a Michelin PS2/C type for my sport cars though. I’m about 3k miles into a set of PZero 21” on my LR Discovery. They handle the weight of the vehicle and road conditions really nice, so far have no complaints.

Pros: handle weight, road conditions
Mileage: 3000 km

Honestly have no idea why anyone hates them but after giving up my OEM Yokohama Geolander for Michelin Defender 2's that had a weird vibration on the highway that the tire shop insisted wasn't from a bad balance, I returned those and got the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3's. They ride MUCH better than the Defenders, which were one of the highest rated tires everywhere, and there is no weird vibe on the highway. My 22 CX-5 never rode so good.

Pros: ride much better

I’ve had Scorpions on my car for ten years by now. When I had Michelins and Bridgestones they did not drive nearly as smoothly

Pros: smoothly drive

I have nothing but good things to say about the Pirelli tires that I've bought. In fact, two weeks ago, I bought a set of Pirelli Cinturato WeatherActives to replace my Continental run flats and they're great (quieter, smoother ride, etc).

Pros: quieter, smoother ride

I had good experience with Pirelli P4 season. I put 75k miles on a 2008 awd ford taurus all highway mileage. No balance issues and even wearing. Worked reasonably well in my northeast pa winters.

Pros: even wearing, no issues
Vehicle: Ford Taurus
Mileage: 75000 km

The Pirellis are super soft. It improves high speed handling on dry roads, but they wear out way faster. Mine did this exact same thing after about 30k miles.

Pros: improves high speed handling
Cons: wear out faster, super soft
Mileage: 48280 km

I recently got a set of pirelli at plus for my 3rd gen tacoma. Almost every morning when first driving I get a steering wheel shake at about 60 mph and then goes away after about a mile, had the tires re balanced, and road forced, still does the same thing. From discount tire…..i complained when I initially had them put on, they replaced all 4 with new ones and still had the same issue….i think its just a pirelli thing.

Cons: steering wheel shake
Vehicle: Toyota

The Pirelli p zeros on my m sport 330e has been a nightmare. I swapped them out at least 3x in two years (live in NYC with lots of potholes).

Cons: nightmare, swapped out 3x
