I have a shitbox I daily drive in the city (an old Hyundai Accent). I don't want to spend too much money on its tires so I bought a set of 185/55r15 Wanli Harmonics for only around 170 USD including mounting and balancing. I've driven 6000 miles on it so far.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Noisy, doesn't have that much grip (I can do a front wheel burnout now with 140hp lol), wears out quickly (I've already shaved maybe 20% of its tread)

Pros: Cheap
Cons: Noisy, wears quickly
Mileage: 9656 km

PHANTOM Tires

Phantoms are America's/Discount Tire own brand tire. They're a mid range tire that are for SUV's mainly but the smaller trucks like f-150, and the 1500's can run it if they are older from when they had the smaller frames. Better than the cheapest option out there, but don't expect top tier performance like, Michelin, Yokohama, and so on.

I'd recommend them if you do in city driving mainly, but they'll still be fine on highway driving. They're fine in wet weather as well. But again they arent top tier, but a decent budget tire so you don't break the bank.

Pros: decent budget tire
Cons: not top tier

WANLI Tires

My friends were sponsored by "WANLI" for drifting back in 2008 or so. They worked great! Super hard and long lasting! I could go through multiple drift events with my non turbo KA engine in my 240 sx. OMG terrible tires for driving on the street though!

Pros: great for drifting, long lasting
Cons: terrible for street
Vehicle: Nissan

Went with $99 Wanli Chinese tires for immediate use. Thought how bad can it be just one day on these cheap tires.... WRONG! Wanli S-something bunch of random numbers touring tire: - Terrible road noise. A constant droning HUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR :banghead: - Fall apart while turning, car literally felt as if wandering side to side. - For brand new tires they broke traction easily on acceleration. Very poor grip. - Zero feel, I mean the GTI isn't grounded to the ground to start with but this rubber killed off any feel for what the wheels were doing.

Cons: terrible road noise, poor grip
