I have the NOKIAN HAKKAPELIITTA 22” snow tire that I put on my R1S in the winter and they are awesome.
I have studded nokian snow tires and it will not happen to me.
This is a great ad for Nokian hakkapeliitta r5 . I'm slipping 'n sliding with control on backroads in 8" of snow counter sterring all the way.
Nokian Haks - BEAST of a winter tire. Between the AWD, and these tires, I had ZERO issues driving around Edmonton last week, where it was -20, and the roads were in awful condition.
I took my stock pirellis off when I put the Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3s on for the winter.
Going for my first rotation today on the Nokian Ones! So far, perfect!
The Nokian performs very well in both wet and dry conditions. In the dry, however, the car feels like it is floating (swimming) in the corners due to the tread sipes on the outer shoulder. The tyre is stable, but steering is not as direct as with other all\u2011season tyres or summer tyres. Wet grip is good.
I got the Nokian Outpost APT and they are amazing in snow, look great, have a long warranty, and a mild increase in road noise.
I’ve been driving on both all weather and winter tires in Calgary for 35 years. I cant tell the difference. I’ve done dozens of trips through the mountain passes on both as well…also cant tell the difference. All weathers usually are Nokian WRG (currently I have a set of Michelin Cross-Climates on one vehicle) and winters are Pirelli or Nokian
I got Nokian wr d4 and they were manufactured in Russia around the 3rd year they were dry rotting and at year 5 chunks started to fall off the thread pattern.. which looks exactly the same..
