Tires NITTO or OEM FORD

NITTO Tires

I was able to get Nitto Recon Grapplers 37x12.5r20 installed for $2030 out the door. Others in town were about $2400-$2800 for the same tires and install.

Pros: competitive pricing

OEM FORD Tires

I'll add my first two years of ownership review. The past two years the Maverick has hauled everything I've needed without issues.

Mileage: 45550 km

NITTO Tires

Jack of all trades and great in wet conditions (live in Florida). They look great and are lighter than the Falkens which is what made me go with them.

Pros: jack of all trades, great in wet, look great, lighter
Vehicle: Toyota

They switched to the Terra Grappler G3s and said they were much quieter. I’ve been happy with them so far. They are definitely quieter than the Wildpeak A/T4s and lighter.

Pros: much quieter, lighter
Vehicle: Lexus GX

Second pair of Nitto A/Ts. Great off road, great longevity, smooth ride. Wet roads and wet boat ramps are deffinetly not their stong points. They do definnetly slip even on the slightest of wet weather so unfortunately I won't be buying another set.

Pros: great off road, great longevity
Cons: slip on wet weather

I’m currently running Nitto Ridge grapplers 37x12.5x17 D-rated tires. I’m in need of a full set after about 30k miles. I do like the Nittos I am running, they are fairly quite and wheel great but I think a higher rated tire would help.

Pros: fairly quiet, wheel great
Cons: wore quickly (30k miles)
Mileage: 30000 km

NITTO Tires

Avoid the nittos. They just aren't a good value and the company is behind the curve on tire compounds. Bought a wheel and tire pack for tracking thinking the discount was good with tires, wish I just bought the wheels alone in retrospect.

Cons: not a good value
