Tires NITTO or Maxxis

NITTO Tires

Neogens are amazing tires in the dry and solid in the wet, but if you push them in the rain like you do when it's not you're gunna have a bad time. I will say, they are \*soft\*, its like a 200 treadwear rating, if you do a lot of highway traveling you're probably not going to get a ton of life out of them.

Pros: amazing in the dry, solid in the wet
Cons: soft, short life
Vehicle: Honda Fit

NITTO Tires

I run them on my fit that lives in one of the wettest areas of PNW and so far they have been great. Dry performance is phenomenal for the price point.

Pros: great, phenomenal dry performance

NITTO Tires

Nitto NT555 G2’s have been very good to me in a place that never sees below 60. Rain, sunshine, don’t matter. They grip and don’t break the bank.

Pros: grip, don’t break bank

Maxxis Tires

The only thing I’d add is I’d suggest them in Maxxspeed, but they are only available in 2.35. Rode them front/rear last season and they were excellent.

Pros: they were excellent
Cons: only available in 2.35

Maxxis Tires

I've been really impressed recently with the Conti tires (Cross Kings or Race Kings depending on how XC you want to go with it), specifically the ProTection versions with the Black Chili compound. Coming from Maxxis stuff I've been surprised by the amount of grip they have given how fast-rolling they are, at least for my local conditions (New England, so rocks, roots, more roots, a few roots, some roots, roots, rocks, roots, some more roots, a lot of roots, and roots.)

Pros: amount of grip
Cons: hard to find

Maxxis Tires

I ride Ardents for XC and some light trail riding. They're good tires until you hit mud and wet rocks. I recently tried a faster rolling tire but felt I went slower because the grip was drastically reduced. I think they're a good all around tire but they don't excel at any one thing.

Pros: good all around tire
Cons: don't excel at anything, bad in mud

NITTO Tires

the Nitto Grapplers are horrible on wet pavement. Too bad, because they worked well for me otherwise.

Pros: worked well otherwise
Cons: horrible on wet pavement

NITTO Tires

I got mine 12/21 date code 48/21. I got about 40k on them. All 4 have dry rot. They suck in the rain and I am about to dump them.

Cons: dry rot, suck in rain
Mileage: 40000 km
