Nexen like all brands make different levels of tires. If you decide to buy the cheap ones your results will be indeed be bad. I bought a nicer tire that they make and have had no issues with them. It's actually the best ride quality I've had in my car. They drive better than Dunlop and Pirrelli P-Zero I had in the past.

Pros: best ride quality
Cons: cheap ones bad

I put the Quatrac Pro tires on our Model Y about 8,000 miles ago and have been very happy with them. No noticeable difference in road noise, basically no efficiency difference, but much better grip in wet and slick conditions.

Pros: better grip in wet
Cons: no efficiency difference
Mileage: 12875 km

I have the Winter Tech Pro's on Model 3 AWD and they have been great. They are aimed at occasional snow and ice with emphasis on excellent performance on slushy, wet roads. Had them in an ID snow storm of about 8" that shutdown I-84 and they were great. Not as good as Xice on pure ice and snow but better on the resulting slush and wet. Quieter than Xice or the OEM Primacies on the car.

Pros: great on slushy roads
Cons: not good on ice

For Winter tyres, in terms of noise and harshness, the Vredestein Wintrac Pro and Hankook Winter i*cept Evo³ are trading blows with each other. I noticed, that the Hankook is noisier on some surfaces, while the Vredestein is on others. Same with bumps. Neither is crashy though or loud. The noise they make it is also a low tone, so not disturbing.

Pros: low tone noise
Cons: noisey on some surfaces

Nexen Tires

If you mean the Nexen N Priz AH7 and not the Aria AH7, I have the N Priz AH7's on my 2019 Kia Sportage AWD which came on the vehicle and I have had no road noise. They've been really good tires actually for me and handle really well.

Pros: good tires, handle well
Cons: 5/32nds at 38k miles
Mileage: 38000 km

Flow One + NEXEN SUR4g. Not the best, but a move up from my shockingly bald street tires.

Pros: move up from tires
Cons: not the best

Vredestein Tires

Vredesteins are shit for winter tires, at least in my experience. I had them on my C63, and it was like my car was wearing high heels. It was scary sloppy at 100km+ (60mph+) on the Autobahn.

Pros: null
Cons: scary sloppy
