After 17k miles, I tossed the stock garbage Pirellis and switched to the Michelin Cross Climate 2s. This solved all my issues, and they have been a great tire for snow/icy conditions.
Ive tried both agilis and duravis, michelin has slightly better noise and ride but if medyo malaki yung price difference, the duravis is a very good tire. Mahal rin ang michelin
I have almost 45k miles on my Michelin CC2 tires that I installed in late 2023. We run them year round (PNW) and they’re great for everything. I rotate them every 5k and anticipate another 10k-15k miles before I have to replace them. I have the same year, model, and trim X3 (purchased brand new in June 2022).
BMW run-flats are fine in summer but get sketchy fast once the snow hits, so switching to regular tires like the CrossClimate 2s is a huge upgrade in ride comfort and winter grip. It made my X3 feel like a totally different car
I purchased my ‘23 m40i and it came with oem Bridgestone RFTs. I purchased new tires for it before taking delivery - Michelin Cc2s. No regrets. Works perfect especially here for Chicago winters.
put on michelin cc2s on my xm4c 2 years ago. our temps run from 0F in winter to 115F in summer. i like these tires.
Just got 20 inch Michelin cross climates 2 for $1450.
I just popped mine on tonight for the east coast snow shenanigans this weekend. They did amazing during 1000+ mile ski trip to Canada. They make the speed variable humming. But man are they soft.
I’m also in Chicago, bought the same tires, and just assumed I was heavy footed and that’s why I was can’t break 3.0 mi/kwh even though I’m not that bad. Didn’t realize the tires themselves were less efficient. All that being said I home charge so by my math it’s like 80 dollars extra a year of electricity to avoid the more expensive tires.
They are loud and don’t ride particularly well. Grip is good but it’s definitely a compromise. I think their marketing is just really good and they are not worth the compromise. I would always just run a dedicated touring set and dedicated winters.
