I ditched the run flats and switched to Michelin cross climate 2, and that improved the ride quality significantly over stock.

Pros: improved the ride quality
Mileage: 30000 km

If you deal with snow and don't want dedicated snow tires the CrossClimate2 is a great choice. I put them on last month and took a slight range hit but they have done great in a couple storms as well as longer trips to warmer climates.

Pros: great in storms
Cons: slight range hit
Vehicle: Nissan

I have the cc2s on my highlander and camry. They get about 45k miles on them. I have driven them on gravel and grass fields. Where they excel in my opinion is when you hit a deep puddle unexpectedly at high speeds. You don't lose control. Also, very good on slushy/icey roads and in the rain.

Pros: very good on slushy/icey
Cons: hit deep puddle
Mileage: 45000 km

I do have CC2. Not to be overlooked--CC2 are also very good in the rain, not just snow. That may be of value in Seattle. excels in the rain, offering excellent wet traction, impressive hydroplaning resistance, and significantly shorter wet braking distances, even stopping shorter than competitors when worn

Pros: good in rain, excellent wet traction
Vehicle: Mazda

I had the CC2’s on my Explorer, to replace the OEM tires. They handle great, and are excellent in the snow, but they were very loud, and got louder as they wore, I also noticed a significant reduction in gas mileage, 15-20% depending on season. I eventually swapped them for what is essentially the Pirelli version of the same tire. They are called the Scorpion WeatherActive and were far and away better than the Michelins on my vehicle. Gas mileage went back to normal and they were much quieter.

Pros: handle great, excellent snow
Cons: very loud, mileage reduction

My experience is they are noisy and don\u2019t wear evenly unless you rotate religiously every 3000-5000 miles. I drive a 4WD truck, but I find the Michelin Defender M/S2 to be a better tire.

Pros: better tire
Cons: noisy, uneven wear
Mileage: 8047 km
