Ive used then for daily driving to work and driving to 10+ autocross and tracks days a year, I’ve been pretty competitive in cam-c with this tire and they still have 1 more year in them. I live in Utah so we get plenty of wet weather. My most competitive autocross events are the wet weather events.
Michelin X-Ice this go around . Have had Hakkas, blizzaks, and nexen over the years.
I found a great deal on PS4S's and figured I'd give them a try instead. Initial impressions are that they significantly enhance steering response and turn-in, with a tradeoff being the ride is definitely busier over small imperfections.
Just put on Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 on that sams club deal. So far pretty quiet. Lots of grip in the wet. Softened up the ride witch is weird?
PS4S are worth every cent. You just -feel- like a winner when you get them back from the tireshop and bolt em on.
I’ve had good experiences with the Michelin xice series.
Check out Michelin Cross Climate II as a year-round option. We use them on one of our FWD SUVs.
Compared to the stock GoodYear Eagles they are MUCH better. These tires are perfect for what I needed which is on-road use, the traction is very good, road noise is much lower, and general level of comfort and absorbing things like bumps and potholes is much improved too.
It also corners better now, before it felt almost floaty? Like it could fish tail out of nowhere almost if I turned too hard but now I can take corners with some speed and not worry. I would say most importantly though the driving experience is improved from a boat/float feel to something with power that doesn’t struggle to transfer it to the ground. Would highly recommend!
My MX doesn’t have foam in the replacement tires I got but I haven’t noticed a difference! In my original 19in continental on a SR+ Model 3 and went to Michelin and noticed a huge sound and range difference esp in my kWh usage.
The sidewall split on one of the Michelin Primacy MXM4 on our 2021 Model 3 at about 12000km (only 7450 miles) so those Michelin Primacy MXM4s are not that great it seems.
