Tires MICHELIN or Cooper

MICHELIN Tires

Michelin x-ice are for more roads and packed snow. I have a set of x ice 2 that are great, lots of grip in the winter. Much better stopping on plowed roads, and deeper snow they handle great

Pros: lots of grip, better stopping

Depends on the tires. If he put on Walmart special ling-longs and you put contin or Michelin The difference will be pretty big.

Pros: big difference

Michelin X-Ice Snows through Costco turned my R56 from a one-wheel-drive potato into a competent winter vehicle, all while still being quiet on the highway like a summer tire.

Pros: competent winter vehicle, quiet
Cons: one-wheel-drive potato
Vehicle: MINI

Cross climates are fantastic. I’ve 20000 miles on mine & only changing soon because well, winter. Still not down to the wear markers and they’ve had a pretty hard time…

Pros: fantastic, hard time
Mileage: 32186 km

You will lose some steering feel and precision, but Michelin tires are so good that I don't really notice much of a grip difference. They should be better in the rain, and they're good in light snow. They will also make the ride more comfortable and a bit quieter. Plus a 40,000 mile tread life on such a high level of performance is insane.

Pros: comfortable, quieter, good performance
Cons: lose steering feel

Just put the CrossClimate2’s on my 2024 premium and drove to Toronto and back(just shy of 4 hours one way). Felt like a brand new car….again. Legit changed the drive for the better in every way I had hoped.

Pros: changed the drive

It is running on 17x7.5 Mk7 rims, 225/50R17 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4, 26.3" diameter. No rubbing. Lowered the pressure to 32psi and it becomes a very supple and plush ride.

Pros: supple and plush ride
Vehicle: Volkswagen

We have these on one of our FWD cars, and the Bridgestone WeatherPeaks on another FWD car. If you deal with snow for a decent part of the year the WeatherPeaks are a phenomenal tire, basically a snow tire with a high wear rating, the Cross Climate 2 is OK in snow.

Pros: OK in snow

I had some on my LR4 and they were completely destroyed after 15k miles. Thankfully they had a 60k mile warranty so Michelin paid for a good portion of the Pirellis that went on next.

Pros: good warranty
Cons: destroyed after 15k miles
Vehicle: Land Rover
Mileage: 15000 km
