I have Bridgestone Potenza RE 71R tires and love them. Around town they are a bit stiff over bumps but around corners and higher speeds they are unreal traction and ride quality, Love them. I’ve never had them slide out on me and they are very sticky
Yes wildpeaks were highly recommended. I actually just bought cross climate 2s. Handle really well in rain so far.
I just put four new Bridgestone Ecopia’s on my 2016 LX and I’m noticing a smoother, softer ride. Not much quieter, as I detected a bit more road noise than my last set, but I think that’s because my old tires were so worn down.
Replaced original Procontact, got a set of PS ALL-SEASON 4. Improve overall handling and comfort.
I like the Michelin power road tlr ran tubeless because they're what's available right now for me. Honestly all the top tires on that site are good.
My car came with 225/40-18 Bridgestone Potenza RE97AS and they were LOUD. Twice I took the car in to ensure it wasn't the wheel bearings making noise and it was just the tires. I've been really happy with Potenza's in the past but these tires were terrible. I replaced the tires last year with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 and they transformed the car. They're quiet and they have a better ride at VW's very high 42 psi recommended pressure. The car handles better in every respect too where as before, it always felt like I was fighting the car on twisty roads. They're better in the rain AND they were cheaper than the OEM tires. Very happy with them.
I have been running Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ for years on my dd 15 GTI S PP. They have been great, if fairly noisy as they age and or in colder temps.
I'll plug Cross Climate 2's. Have been running them 2 years in Wisconsin. Amazing wet grip, summer like feel in both warm and cold, quiet, and very good snow. Won't be switching.
I have a 1997 Town & Country with its original Michelin spare on a full size steelie and I thought this was already old enough.
I have nothing to add but that my X-Ice 3s are terrible on wet and dry pavement.
