Tires Kumho or OEM Subaru

Kumho Tires

The Kumho is a far superior tire from a respected manufacturer based in South Korea. The Radar might look like the better deal up front, but it will likely wear fast and not perform anywhere near as good as the Kumho tires.

Pros: superior tire, respected manufacturer
Cons: wears fast, poor performance

I'm in Vancouver where it constantly rains for half the year and I haven't noticed any issue with the stock Kumhos whether in the city or on the highway.

Even in the snow, I felt they performed fine driving at half the speed limit in the city.

Pros: performed fine in snow
Cons: none
Vehicle: Kia

I got a set of Kuhmo's 2 years ago and I have no complaints. For the price I paid, I love them. They feel like the Michelin and Continental tires I have had previously, but I don't know if they will last as long.

Pros: great value, good quality
Cons: longevity unknown

Kumho Tires

The only tire I've had that didn't feather in the rear was the Kumho ECSTA Platinum LX. But, it's easy to brake the tires loose on APR Stage 1.

Pros: no feathering in rear
Cons: easy to break loose

I have a US spec 2022 Wind AWD with 23,000 miles on these Kumho tires. In my less than 9 months of ownership I've had two tires patched from slow leaks and I just had to have the foam lining removed from a tire since it separated from the inner tire wall and created massive vibrations in the steering wheel.

Cons: slow leaks, massive vibrations
Vehicle: Kia
Mileage: 23000 km
