I got 75,000+ miles out of my Kumho Road Venture AT 51's on my 2017 Off Road, they are all terrain and 3 peak snowflake rated. I do long road trips, occasional towing of a small trailer, and occasional off roading for photography and I've loved these tires.
We switched to kumho after blowing through the OEM Bridgestones. Much better IMHO.
We had Kumhos on the first ID4 for 2-3000 miles and they seemed perfectly fine to me.
Have the stock kumhos from vw which to my knowledge are not the ev specific kumhos that are out now. 17k miles and 0 issues, plenty of tread left. Quiet, ride nice, and do well in rain/deep snow. Definitely recommend them.
It seems the Kumho scores higher in wet conditions, while the dry performance is quite similar to the Toyo.
HS52 is pretty solid, given the recent balance between Kumho and Toyo I would expect it to outperform the Toyo.
I have used Kumho touring tires on two different BMWs and I thought they were great for a mid priced tire.
I run Falkens, but used to run Kumho, and they wear pretty quick.........
I had to replace all 4 Kuhomos at about 12k as I blew two out. Now sitting at 24k and they’re almost halfway worn on one set.
That’s probably the number 1 thing I research when I buy tires now, I hate the loud hum some tires get as they wear. I’ve had two sets of Kumhos and I won’t be buying a third.
