Kumhos are working GREAT on my car.... I have ZERO complaints with them; they look great, and they perform fine in both snow and ice. No issues. Plus they were a lot less than Contis. ANd they RIDE a lot better than Bridgestone Potenza, which wore great but are a bit hard.

Pros: look great, perform fine
Cons: wear out faster

I have been using the Kumho Road Venture 235/60 R 16 for 20,000 miles now and they are great. They are not even half worn. They are also quiet and do a pretty good job in the snow.

Pros: great, quiet, good in snow
Mileage: 20000 km

The set I have now are the Kumho Ecsta ASX's and have lasted me over years. Could have gone longer but my alignment I think is shot and they are worn funny/cupped and make some road noise. I think I spent something like 90 bux a tire and am very happy with it.

Pros: lasted over years, very happy
Cons: worn funny, make road noise

on my Golf with only Koni Sport adjustable dampers and Kumho XS tires, I regularly set faster autocross times than many of the \"darling\" cars in faster classes in my local autocross events

Pros: faster autocross times

Kumho Tires

Try the Kumho ASX. They were quieter than any other tire I've tried. Much more so than the awful Goodyear RS-As.

Pros: quieter than other tires
Cons: awful Goodyear RS-As

Kumho Tires

I ran the Kumho XS (250/50 15 on a 2006 Mazda 2) last summer and found them to be fairly comparable to the superceded Bridgestone RE01R, albeit much cheaper. I did 4-5 autocross sessions on them on top of 'spirited' drives in the local mountains every weekend. My fronts lasted just under 3000 miles to slick and the rears around double that, but I do have a fairly aggressive alignment.

Pros: fairly comparable, much cheaper
Cons: fronts lasted under 3000 miles
Vehicle: Mazda 2
Mileage: 4828 km

khumo? forget about em, wet traction is dangerously low. i prefer Bridgestone, the potenza line. RE-01 R for summer compound. 960 as Pole Position for all weather compound. keep in mind that my perspective is from a performance standpoint, i dont give a crap about how many miles i get out of a tire so long as i enjoy it while i have it.

Pros: good for performance
Cons: low wet traction
