Tires Hankook or YOKOHAMA

YOKOHAMA Tires

I've had it happen to me from Discount Tire, but luckily they were closeout and discounted already. They were my previous set of Geolander ATS for my Forester. Awesome tires though, never had an issue in 55k miles.

Pros: awesome tires, no issues
Mileage: 55000 km

Ventus V12 EVO2 is the sleeper tire in this category. A few buddies run them, they are a lot like the PSS, in that they are a summer performance tire with consideration to tire life. But at an even lower cost.

Pros: summer performance tire
Cons: consideration to tire life

I have RS3's on my S2000 and have for a while now. Fantastic dry grip when they're warmed up but then wet grip is abysmal...I actively avoid driving that car in the rain partially because of that.

Pros: fantastic dry grip
Cons: wet grip is abysmal
Vehicle: Honda S2000

Used the V12's on my Saab, good wear and quiet and get about 35-40k miles out of them. R-S3's for rain tires on my track TT, they work well for both slightly damp track days and in the heavy rain. On the street they are quiet compared to the Nitto NT-05's and last longer 30k miles normally opposed to 15-20k.

Pros: good wear, quiet
Vehicle: Saab

I've run Rs-3s on the Alfa. They are good option for a budget performance tire because they wear really well.

Pros: good wear, budget performance
Cons: not highest-end performance
Vehicle: Alfa Romeo

I'm running the OEM Hankook Optimo 426s on my Fiesta, and they're just about to the wear bars at 53K. They wore pretty well, I guess, decent traction and noise control, not a bad tire overall.

Pros: decent traction, noise control
Cons: not a bad tire overall
Vehicle: Ford Fiesta
Mileage: 85295 km

Got some Hankook "100000 miles" H727 on the beater Honda. Within 3-4 years, or 50k miles later they're all shot. Tread is mostly gone. At the end I had a slow leak from cracks etc. The rubber ripped at the edges exposing the cord and leaks slowly, then rather quickly when it let go.

Cons: tread mostly gone, slow leak
Vehicle: Honda
Mileage: 50000 km
