Tires GT Radial or GENERAL TIRE

GENERAL TIRE Tires

Have them on my Tucson AWD for a couple years in ND... Love them! Haven't any issues and have about 20k miles on them now and when I rotated them a few weeks ago they were still 8.5-9/32 tread.

Pros: Love them, no issues
Mileage: 32186 km

GENERAL TIRE Tires

I have general altimax 365 AWs and Michelin ice x snows for winter.

Last year I only had the Michelin tires on for 4 weeks and the rest of the winter I ran the generals.

They performed 95% of the dedicated snow tires.

Pros: performed like snow tires

GENERAL TIRE Tires

Ive been running the generals for ever. Just got a set of the arctic 12s mounted for this winter. Overall design doesnt seem to have changed much since around 2012 and they have always been absolute champs in deep snow for me.

Pros: champs in deep snow

GENERAL TIRE Tires

General GMAX AS-05 ultra high performance, all season tires. I'm on my 3rd set, they have a 50k mile warranty and grip like crazy in the rain. Comparable to BFG comp 2's but they look better and are less expensive. I particularly dislike the way the comp 2 sidewall looks.

Pros: grip like crazy
Cons: dislike sidewall looks

GENERAL TIRE Tires

I had the AT2s on my last truck for years and I love those tires. They're snowflake rated so obviously they did good in the snow. I've had them in deep mud, and while no mud tire, they did petty darn good. Plus they lasted forever, like 60ish k miles.

Pros: good in snow, lasted forever
Cons: not a mud tire
Mileage: 96560 km

GT Radial Tires

GT Radial tires are manufactured by Giti Tire, a Singapore-based tire manufacturer with nine facilities worldwide. Ironman tires are a budget sub-brand of Hercules Tires, which is in partnership with Cooper Tires, and manufactures its tires in different countries.

Realistically they are probably close to equivalent to each other, but both are low end budget tire brands. They seem to fair well on dry pavement and do marginally well in wet conditions, but are noticeably lacking in snow and winter conditions.

Pros: fair well on dry pavement
Cons: lacking in snow, winter

GT Radial Tires

I know GT radial tires are on the cheaper side. My GF got them last summer, in may. I checked them today and they are down to about 4/32mm. She basically drove 8 months with them, or 25k km, almost exclusively highway. Is that expected? I'm used to tires going for 50k km.

Cons: wears quickly, cheaper side
Mileage: 25000 km
