Tires GT Radial or Barum

GT Radial Tires

I had very good luck with some Walmart bought tires. I put about 53,000 miles in them before I sold the truck and they handled all types of weather and road conditions. Highway, snow covered roads, occasional dirt roads and wet and never had an issue with them.

Pros: handled all weather, no issues
Cons: louder than stock
Mileage: 53000 km

When I did transport work and needed tires, I had very good luck with some Walmart bought tires. All in I think I was around $700. I went with GT Radial Adventuro AT3 All Terrain in 275/65/18. I put about 53,000 miles in them before I sold the truck and they handled all types of weather and road conditions. Highway, snow covered roads, occasional dirt roads and wet and never had an issue with them. Road noise was slightly louder than stock tires but based on tread pattern, it was to be expected. I would definitely buy these tires again for my truck.

Pros: handled all weather, good price
Cons: slightly louder road noise
Mileage: 85290 km

Check out GT Radial or Giti.

They are mid ranged and so far ive been really impressed with them on mine. Good all rounders with grip and low rolling resistance.

Pros: Good all rounders, good grip

I bought them last year for my Nissan and they have been really good. Very grippy, low noise and smooth. The compound feels to be on the softer side but haven't seen excessive wear yet.

Pros: very grippy, low noise
Cons: softer compound
Vehicle: Nissan

I found GT Radial Champiro SX2 was pretty decent for around the same price as Kendas with similar performance and similar but not as much longevity.

Pros: similar performance, decent price
Cons: less longevity

Barum Tires

I have been using Barum tires with no complaints. They perform well on my 2012 W204 and cost a lot less than Michelin / Pirelli / Continental /etc

Pros: good performance, low cost

We tried a set on our HS Civic, then onto my codrivers CS NC. They're notably off pace from other 200tw (down in grip even to the RS-RR), but they wore like iron and communicated at the limit. Very solid for the money.

Pros: wore like iron, communicated well
Cons: off pace, down in grip
Vehicle: Honda Civic

The socal 86 cup is sponsored by them, so they've all I've ever used. They're more like 260tw. But I got 245 r40 17 for like $80 each. They're not the best, but they're the best for the money.

Pros: best for the money
Cons: not the best
Vehicle: Toyota

GT Radial Tires

I know GT radial tires are on the cheaper side. My GF got them last summer, in may. I checked them today and they are down to about 4/32mm. She basically drove 8 months with them, or 25k km, almost exclusively highway. Is that expected? I'm used to tires going for 50k km.

Cons: wears quickly, cheaper side
Mileage: 25000 km
