Tires Goodyear or OEM FORD

Goodyear Tires

I know credit cards aren’t a great solution really, but the Goodyear credit card has 6 month 0% financing when you spend $250 or more on tires.

Pros: 0% financing for tires
Cons: high interest after

When you do your full set next year, the Hankook Ion or Goodyear ElectricDrive feel way better on EVs than the OEM Michelins in my experience.

Pros: feel way better

Here’s the “bad” stuff that I’ve had on mine:

- LED light on the running board went out. Replaced under warranty
- backup sensor issue: a wire broke (i think) when I did some “spirited” driving on a gravel road. Getting fixed on Monday.
- rear drive unit seal weeped a bit. Getting fixed on Monday.
- stock tires sucked.

Cons: stock tires sucked
Vehicle: Ford

Goodyear Tires

Perfomance degrades very noticably with age, at least I noticed that with my GoodYear winter tyres. First winter they were amazing, second wintee you could feel the drop-off but still good and during third winter it was significantly worse, to the point It would be worth to get a new set even though thread depth was still ok.

Pros: amazing first winter performance
Cons: performance degrades with age

I have a personal distaste for Goodyear (I think that’s what those are. We called em good for a a year even when they were new.

Cons: personal distaste, short lifespan
