I used to commute from Ithaca to Syracuse daily in a mk5 GLI. I had studded Firestone Winterforces on steel wheels. That car was an absolute beast in the snow and regularly outperformed 4x4’s.
I just replaced mine with the same that it came with. Decent tires got 55k out of them.
They have low rolling resistance according to Discount Tires tests, are light, and still grip well off road
I have Firestone Weathergrip all-weather tires in my escape and they have been just fine driving the past 3 winters in Calgary, with the odd trip out to Banff. I would say they are only questionable once the weather hits -30’s. Other than that they have been comparable to my blizzaks.
Firestone weathergrip on a Ford ecosport and they work well. Ive done Banff on snowy days and down to Radium as well .As always drive with extra caution.
I've been getting good service, tires and otherwise, from Firestone for literally decades. Many locations for ongoing service needs and access to history, good road hazard warranty protection, relatively good with appointment timing.
I'm currently running Firehawk Indy 500 Performance tires as all seasons and they do well enough in small amounts of snow
We had Firestone Transforces on my dad\u2019s truck when I was in high school. Slightest hint of mud and they would pack up and slick off in an instant, but man they lasted a long time.
Same happened with my mrf ecotred just after 15000 km...got no claim... changed all 4 tyres to bridgestone coz safety is primary
My Amaze 2nd gen had same issue , MRF ZVTV was tyre , go to MRF tyres and they will get it changed under warranty
