I like my general G-Max's. All season is a stretch and they are a bit loud, but the grip is good and the sidewall is supportive.
General Grabber Arctic LTs for snow and ice. I also run KO2s in the summer, but they don't have great stopping power on icy or snow-packed roads. The Arctic LTs are just amazing in those conditions, I'm really happy with them as a winter tire.
I like my General GRABBER A/TX. Cheapest of the litter but still does pretty good.
Went with the Altimax RT45 with my original wheels. Only 55 miles so far, but I’m pretty happy with them. They're not as responsive as my old Bridgestone RE950s, but handle reasonably well and are quieter and smoother.
We changed our Yoko's out at 1300 miles. Very happy with the General 365AW's we replaced them with, they handle almost as well in the snow as the Michelin XiceSnow tires on our other car.
I have all weather tires by general tires. They work well. Main issue for my 2014 F56 is ground clearance.
All weather tires are a thing now, they’re between a dedicated winter tire and all season. They tend to do just as well in the snow as a dedicated winter tire but not as well on ice, but still better than an all season. The best part is they’re meant to be run all year round and are incredible in the rain as well. They do tend to be a little noisier than an all season and have a bit of tread squirm which you can feel on turn in. I run them on my daily and as soon as I hit the brakes for the first time in the snow I was completely sold, never going back to all seasons again.
Federal command 2.4s have been my favorite so far. Smooth center tread for good rolling and speed retention, but still have some tread on the side for banking and grind protection. Rubber compound they use is also getting softer with time/riding so they feel better the more worn in they get.
Probably one of the loudest tires I’ve had.. Federal 595 RSRR
In 2010, our shop purchased a brand new Ranger 2.3 and I fitted brand new studded General Altimax Arctic, which were broken in before the first snowstorm. When we had our first snowstorm (heavy, wet snow), I took it out for some errands to see how it would do; it was absolute trash. Driving a straight line was impossible.
