Tires Falken or NITTO

Falken Tires

I've had 512s on three of my cars. Great mileage out of them and they do great in wet and dry...

Pros: great mileage, great in wet/dry

Was running Avid W4s Yokohama’s on 14" Snowflakes and nothing bad to say till 20% tread, then a loose feeling... rain was good. I'm now running 195/50/15 Falken ZE912 high performance all season and also come in 14, with the stiff coils all around I have little to no push in corners and better off on the wider stance zero off-set rims. Now the main reason is they are a great wet tire and still trying to make the front push... my buddy ran them on his BMW and didn't like the oversteer feeling of the tire folding?!!? but I'm firm believer curb weight has heaps to do with it.... my 3 cents in rainy vancouver

Pros: great wet tire, no push in corners
Cons: loose feeling at low tread

Falken Tires

I think it is a great idea for the right situation. I take my 15' aluminum boat out 3-4 times a year and the lake is just 1 mile away, but there are always cops around the lake and they will pounce on you if your lights are not working, so it is a perfect solution for me.

Pros: perfect solution

NITTO Tires
doneal
  • Grip:
  • Ride comfort:
Rating 4.0

I can say that the nitto motivo doesn't suck. Tires for my wrx are always listed as 'ultra high performance' and rarely do much more than 30k miles. These are listed as 60K tires, they perform better than both bridgestone potenza (summer) and nitto's neogens

Pros: perform better than others
Cons: listed as ultra performance
Vehicle: Subaru
Mileage: 30000 km

Rating 2.5

I currently have a set of Falken's 225-40-18 and I must say that I have gotten about 23k out of them and at about the 20k the tires had cracks all over, the handling wasnt great but wasnt bad, they are not noisy in my opinion.

Pros: not noisy
Cons: cracks all over, handling not great
Mileage: 23000 km
