Bought AT4s a year ago. I have great traction on wet, dry and snowy roads here in New Hampshire. Would definitely recommend and buy again.
Im from the same area and I got wildpeaks at4s 265/75r16 at 1010tires for $246. Love the wildpeaks so far, only downside is the gas mileage from stock tires went from 12.3l/100kms to 13.8l/100kms.
I'm currently running Falken Azenis on my '07 STi. They were $150/tire and there was an $80 instant rebate for buying a set of 4. So, $130/tire after rebate.
Fallen Wildpeaks AT/4 all the way. Amazing tire for the price. $319 at Discount. Running 285/75r16 on my 23, 3rd Gen Taco. Minimal road noise, great handling. You won’t be disappointed!
Do not only trust 3 peak rating. It is the bare minimum, and simply has to perform 10% better in acceleration than a control all season. So don\u2019t just go for any cheap tire that has it, do some research. I use falken all terrains and they work real well.
I’ve got Goodyear Wrangler Duratrack 265/70R16 on my 2020 TRD PRO. They’re loud, but let me tell you a story: December 24, 2023 (or 2022) from Nashville we were heading up to West side of Chicago on I65. The further north we went, the weather turned into a blizzard. Semi’s, cars and trucks were all over the road spun out on the side of the road. Could see maybe 20 feet ahead. Seeing everyone else either spun out or driving about 10MPH. Around Elizabethtown KY, I put my Taco into 4 wheel drive (one click of the dial counter-clockwise). With those DuraTracs and the 4 wheel drive, I was able to go 35-40MPH easy driving and fully in control. By Lafayette, IN we were about the only vehicle on the road. All others left or were spun out. Scared the hell out of us. It was amazing. Now, I don’t know about the other makes, but I‘ll take the noise when it means the safety in terrible situations. IMVHO
I have the Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws on my 2019 TRD OffRoad in 265/75r16 and I’ve been very impressed, but I live in the south and can’t speak to their snow capabilities! I’ve also had and really like the Toyo Open Country ATIIIs and I’d recommend those too, but I like the Wildpeaks better!
The Goodyears don't last long at UTQG of 580. But at least they are cheap at under $300 each.
I got Goodyear Reliants and absolutely regretted. By far the loudest tires I've ever had.
Goodyear tires are notorious for doing this. Several factors play a role on why this happens. Overweight from running low air pressure, vehicle sitting for a period of time in the sun.
