Tires Falken or BRIDGESTONE

Falken Tires

I'm in a similar boat as you I did the 615k's last season. Personally I am overly pleased with these tires they have been everything I've wanted them to be. And I'll probably get another set of them this year.

Pros: overly pleased with tires

Falken Tires

The 615k+ is a great budget tire. I did my first season on them and got second place in my regions rookie class. Then, I kept them and still use them for less competitive/ higher run count events. I've done 3 schools on them too. I love these tires. They're fun to drive on, take heat well, and just last. They do amazingly well in the rain also.

Pros: fun to drive, take heat well

BRIDGESTONE Tires

Set of staggered Bridgestone Blizzak tires, used for one season in Colorado (<5k miles), no longer need them. These came off a 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 with the 19 inch wheels. They worked great for us in Colorado.

Pros: fantastic snow and ice tires
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 8000 km

Falken Tires

Not the same tires, but I’m currently running the Falken Azenis FK460 all season in 255/35/18 and I’ve been super impressed with them considering it’s an all season. Steering is still very precise, the tires are quiet on the highway and they’re communicative as grip loads up, and it breaks away progressively.

Pros: precise steering, quiet
Cons: no rain or snow yet

I have ridge grapplers and I really like them, but if I were only doing what you were planning on I would go back to wildpeak AT3s. Those tires were actually amazing.

Pros: amazing tires

BRIDGESTONE Tires

I've been running them year-round on my 2009 S2000 since new - on Vancouver Island. Total no go in snow, didn't ever even consider of going on the highway, but backed out onto the driveway once when there was a couple inches of snow so I could move some stuff around in the garage. Only a slight incline, but it was not pretty getting back in. That said, we get lots of rain and they've worked well as long as there aren't serious puddles.

Pros: worked well in rain
Cons: no go in snow
Vehicle: Honda S2000

I gave up and replaced them all at 12K miles after the second blowout. Plus they ride and handle so much better than those shitty Turanzas.

Pros: better ride, better handling
Cons: shitty ride, blowouts
Vehicle: Mazda 3
Mileage: 19312 km

I've only ever used one set of Falkan tires and will never use them again. Just very very loud tire hum compared to Bridgestone or Michelin.

Cons: very loud tire hum
