I got myself the Grantrek AT5s. For me they have a good compromise between traction offroad and road noise on tarmac. I also fitted a full spare with one of those AT5s on it. Fits perfectly where the 3/4 sits.
Just about worn through my D605 on the front.
Wonderful on road. Not too loud and gives you plenty of grip in the twisties. Have found some cupping after it’s worn down but that’s pretty normal for any knob tire.
Off road handles hard pack dirt and gravel easily. Rocks and roots are okay as well. The only area is had little traction was soft sand and mud. I haven’t found a good front tire for mud yet so that’s expected.
Overall for the price and rating as a 50/50 tire, it handles very well.
Mine have 30k miles on em and I live in Cali and they havent given me any trouble. I drove to Utah last year as well for a camping trip, they held up good in the heavy rain and dirt. I plan on swapping to an all around better tire though next year
Dunlop Q3+ Tons of grip, and good milage for the performance. Just be careful in the cold.
Dunlop Roadsmart 3 12k miles.
Personally, I thought they were ok, during summer they handled great. Never felt uncomfortable in the rain or snow either. But once they finally wore out (and I mean…nothing was left on them), I swapped them for a pair of Nitto Neo Gen, their better and I feel like they grip a ton
They are ok tires. In the summer, when it's hot and dry, they do pretty ok. As soon as temps get close to freezing they get super hard and it's like driving on plastic rc tires. At least, that's been my experience with them.
Almost slid into a car last year on the oem dunlops, can confirm they are dog shit wrapped in cat shit
I was able to break loose/slide the stock tires during my test drive in January.
I made the mistake of driving my 2018 on summer tires too late into the fall. There was no controlling it - the tires had no traction.
