Tires Cooper or WEST LAKE

I went 2” larger overall diameter tire (factory 27” to 29”) and went from a regular oem tire to walmart (west lake ) ATs. And I only saw a very small change in average mpg, aprox 32.1 down to 29.8mpg.

I had cooper AT for 30k on my Tacoma (truck was totaled) then put the Toyo AT on my current Tacoma with about 35k on them.

Cooper was smoother and better for on road driving but the Toyo was the clear winner off road.

I'm now in the Cooper (Discoverer) tire camp on this one. Quiet, perform great on roads and fine for light/medium off-road and they look good, and Made in America!

I ran 2 sets of Cooper on my 2010 Tacoma and really liked them. Just put a set of the new Cooper Road and Trail AT on my 21 Tacoma. They have a more aggressive tread but are quiet on the pavement if that is a concern.

I just put a fresh set of Cooper AT3 XLT 31s on my truck. They're even more quiet than the last set of Coopers (ATP XL). The tread blocks are spaced wider, and are vastly more aggressive too.

I have the coopers, they work great in the snow. Likely a bit quieter than the toyos

Cooper's are good tires. I'm sure it varies model to model, but I find the ST Maxx far better than the KO2s I had.

Cooper makes a good tire, I am running a set of them at the moment actually... I wouldn't hesitate on those and would take them new over a used Michelin or Goodyear with 50% tread any day

I installed 4 Cooper Adventure Tour tires at PepBoys back in March 2022 and drove on them, in my 2018 Corolla, until Nov 2023 when I got an unrepairable nail in the driver's side front tire. I drove about 41K miles on them before the nail, with about 75% on the freeway/highway.

Ah, west lakes, balance like shit like Rovelos. They’re a low cost low tier tire that dealers install to keep costs cheap overall.
