Tires Cooper or NANKANG

Cooper Tires

I WISH my local discount tire still had cooper tires. Mine lasted 75k miles (4 years) before I had to replace them. I’m an average driver and get them rotated every 4/5 months so I wasn’t running bald. They gripped better on turns and we’re quieter (Honda civic)

Pros: gripped better, quieter
Vehicle: Honda Civic
Mileage: 120000 km

I have the non Walmart at3’s and they are great , first time using them was when I was in Arkansas during an ice storm and they definitely were an improvement over the stock tires.

Pros: improvement over stock

I’m 1,000 miles into these with about 300 miles towing 8k lbs and 700 miles as a pavement princess. They feel much better than the two sets of OEM Hancooks that I had on this same truck.

Felt great in heavy rain and hoping that they handle well in the snow.

Pros: feel much better
Mileage: 1000 km

Nankang's FT7 tires are good, cheap and can take quite the beating off road without shredding to bits. You won't need M/T tires for your usecase.

Pros: good, cheap, can take beating
Cons: without shredding to bits

after looking online to see what the best bang for the buck *appears* to be, the Cooper Discoverer All-Terrain for $114/each is a pretty bangin' deal. I haven't loved Cooper's wet traction historically but they've made big strides in the past few years about catching up with that.

Pros: good value for money
Cons: wet traction historically

NS2 review: I've never been able to get them balanced properly and they're loud. Even forced balanced on brand new wheels, I got highway vibrations. That said, they're inexpensive, last decently long for the price, handle water extremely well and they stretch nicely. They handle water better than falken 512's, 452's and hankook v12 evo's. I've had 4 sets and I've never had a bubble or other failure.

Pros: inexpensive, last long, excellent water handling, stretch nicely, no failures
Cons: hard to balance, loud, highway vibrations
