Continental is the best, but expensive.
Nokian makes some dirt nasty snow tires. Out of all I’ve ever used- they’re the best.
Now I have Nokian WRG5's on my Jetta GLI 2025 which is FWD only and they feel amazing. Much lower road noise than CC2's and MPG did not take a hit, with CC2's I lost about 3 MPGs. Nokian feels solid in every weather you can put it through including Ontario winters given black ice doesn't catch you by surprise.
I’ve had Nokian winter tires on AWD and front wheel drive and it was the most confident I’ve ever been! Couldn’t make myself slide!
What started as a quick tune up turned into a full retro mod rebuild of my 2005 Trek 1500 USPS Edition and I honestly cannot believe how good this bike rides now. Early 2000s aluminum race frame with completely modern performance. It feels fast, alive, and razor sharp in corners.
Echoing Nokian for winter tires. Tier 1 in that regard along with Bridgestone.
My Challenger is an absolute beast with Nokian Hakkapeliittas, (rwd,v8, manual).
Continetal DWS 06+ have some fantastic reviews on Tire Rack. I just put some on our "beater", a 2013 1 Series, 6MT.
I have a set of wheels with Continental DWS 06+ on them. They do reasonably well even in snow.
I had a pair of Nokian one with the exact same problem. Won’t buy Nokian again
