Tires Continental or DUNLOP

Continental Tires

The stock tires suck. They last less than 20k miles on my Mazda, so I opted for the Continental DWS06+, which have been fantastic.

Pros: have been fantastic
Cons: stock tires suck
Vehicle: Mazda 3
Mileage: 20000 km

Others have recommended it the Conti Extreme Contact Sport (and Sport 2) are great tires for dry but one of the best wet tires as well. It out performs the Michelin in the Wet by a noticable amount with the current compounds

Pros: great dry and wet

I'm currently running continental premium contact 5's on my C30. They do certainly grip well! My only minor gripe with them is that the sidewall seems a little stiff for the suspension

Pros: certainly grip well
Cons: sidewall seems stiff
Vehicle: Volvo C30

The OEM Dunlops and Falkens are absolutely rubbish and needs to be replaced to get a true sense of ride and handling of the mazda6. I replaced by Dunlops at around 18k miles with Conti DWS 06 and it completely transformed my car.

Pros: completely transformed car
Cons: Dunlops absolutely rubbish
Vehicle: Mazda 6
Mileage: 28968 km

I had this same model on my prior VAG vehicle (in 245/40R19) and pretty typical for OEM tires: smooth ride, reasonably quiet, handles ok (both dry & wet), and can cope with an early- or late-season light snow when you're caught unexpectedly w/o your winter or all-weather tires.

Pros: smooth ride, reasonably quiet
Cons: handles ok
Vehicle: Audi A6 allroad
Mileage: 5000 km

DUNLOP Tires

About 2 years ago I had 4 Dunlop Conquest Touring tires installed on my 2015 Passat. About 5 months ago, less than 15,000 miles we noticed a groaning sound coming from the passenger side rear. I had all 4 tires rotated and now the noise is coming from the passenger side front. This was more annoying than having the groaning noise come from the rear so we had them rotated back again. The \"dealer\" said it was due to cupping and that's common with Dunlop.

Cons: groaning sound, cupping
Mileage: 15000 km
