Tires Continental or DUNLOP

Continental Tires

I personally have gotten over 90k on a set of 4. I would’ve gotten more but I really like driving the family around safely! I had almost 1/8 of an inch before the tread wear indicators were visibly there. But the safety letter near the outer wall was almost gone.

Pros: lasted over 90k miles
Cons: safety letter almost gone
Mileage: 144841 km

I replaced my Ecopia’s with Continental CrossContact LX25 and loved them! They were quiet, wore slowly, great in all conditions (especially rain, snow, and ice)

Pros: quiet, wore slowly

I tried driving my 2022 on stock tires for a couple days in a Wisconsin winter and the car felt like it was on hockey pucks. If you can afford to do winter tires and summer tires, do it. Bridgestone Blizzak WS90’s and Michelin Ice-X’s are amazing tires in winter. If you want to do all seasons, I recommend Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 2’s or Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4’s for a more performance-oriented tire or Michelin CrossClimate2 tires for the best all-weather performance.

Pros: performance-oriented tire

I had Continental 5000s on my bike at 28 mm, and I switched to 32s when the 28s got old after about 3000 or 4000 miles. I love the 32s.

I should add: they seem as fast and are very comfortable.

Pros: fast and comfortable
Mileage: 3500 km

You can have max comfort, control, or max speed, but not all three. I’ve run conti GPS both 32(tubeless) and 28 (tubes) and prefer the 32s. The speed difference if any is negligible, but I definitely notice a difference in comfort and grip.

Pros: noticeable difference in comfort
Cons: speed difference negligible

I am about a week in on these new tires and they feel much smoother than the Michelins did. Not as rough over bumps and potholes, and less road noise.

Pros: much smoother, less noise
Cons: monitoring rainy days

Eventually I got a set of Continental Kryptotal Fr/Re in 2.4" trail casing and endurance compound, and I haven't looked back since. The knobs are massive, and yet they roll super fast and grip super well. They perform so well in every metric that it just doesn't make sense, but I'll take it!

Pros: rolls super fast, grips well

DUNLOP Tires

The summer Dunlops that come with the VB are not good for winter use. I'd suggest getting winter tires or at least all weather tires to be on the safe side. I got Michelin CrossClimate 2's and will be rolling into winter with those here in eastern Oregon.

Pros: safe for winter
Cons: not good for winter
Vehicle: Subaru

DUNLOP Tires

Personally, I thought they were ok, during summer they handled great. Never felt uncomfortable in the rain or snow either. But once they finally wore out (and I mean…nothing was left on them), I swapped them for a pair of Nitto Neo Gen, their better and I feel like they grip a ton

Pros: handled great during summer
Cons: wore out quickly

DUNLOP Tires

I use Dunlop Direzza DZ102. Good for normal street driving. Tend to slide when doing aggressive driving into corners or turns. I do not like them too much.

Pros: good for street driving
Cons: slide when cornering
