Tires BRIDGESTONE or FEDERAL

FEDERAL Tires

I learned my lesson with the 165/45 15 federals... and will tell anyone here that can still find these to stack up while they are cheap/can find them.

Pros: cheap, can find them

Here's what a 245/40-17 Bridgestone RE11 looks like after 18mths on the R - over 200 autox runs and 8k street miles. I run 40-44 PSI hot on a well setup car. Note that there's minimal indication of excessive scrub or rollover. These tires are wearing great and were good enough for top pax time in a 60 car field at a recent local event

Pros: wearing great, top pax time
Cons: none
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 12875 km

I just put on Bridgestone RE760 Sport's on my car about 250km's ago. I was looking for exactly what you are, good treadlife and good all-around performance for the occasional track day... I cannot say enough good things about this tire, it meets and exceeds all expectations that i have had thus far; and with 340 treadwear i expect these 205/40's to last for a good amount of time. You can't go wrong with this tire!

Pros: good treadlife, good performance
Mileage: 250 km

FEDERAL Tires

Federal Tire Quality- Just like any tire it truly depends on the model/size. I have had 165/45's and they are junk for daily driving. I am currently rolling on 205/40/16 Federal 595's and I love them.

Pros: love them
Cons: junk for daily driving

BRIDGESTONE Tires

As far as the Bridgestone tires, I have ran them for 2 years and they have been an excellent all season tire. They do everything well and easily beat the factory tires.

Pros: excellent all season tire
Cons: beat the factory tires

BRIDGESTONE Tires

The Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza have done everything perfectly for me so far. They have been a very good tire. Perhaps a B+ or a A-.

Pros: very good tire

BRIDGESTONE Tires

Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza's have worked well for me. This is my 3rd set...1st on the Touareg. Had the Pirelli Scorpion's -- Was not very impressed with those.

Pros: worked well
Cons: not very impressed

FEDERAL Tires

I currently have these tires on my mk2 in 165-45r15 on some porsche phonedials. They are awesome because they exist in sizes that the general population doesn't care about and they are super cheap. The down side..... They have sh!tty grip and the sidewalls are made of spaghetti. They feel like poop in the turns. But hey, for how cheap they are I can't really complain.

Pros: available in niche sizes, super cheap
Cons: shitty grip, weak sidewalls, poor in turns

Our egg came with Wranglers. They were so noisy and rode so harshly that I replaced them with Bridgestone Dueler Alenzas at 800 miles. Love the new Bridgestones!

Cons: noisy, rode harshly
Mileage: 800 km
