Tires Achilles or OEM FORD

Achilles Tires

Best budget tire brand I’ve used is Achilles

Not a lot of ratings online but I live on the coast in NC where snow is pretty much a non issue. They handle good in wet weather, typical notes are they don’t do well in snow but aside from Michelin many all season’s don’t

The Achilles Touring Sport A/S 225/65R17 or their dessert hawks should be fine

I’ve used achilles on several cars for the last 10 years or so and they are a great bang for the buck. I tried them out a set of their ATR sport tires on my veloster N because I was going through Michelin pilot super sports like nothing and never looked back.

Pros: great bang for buck
Cons: not good in snow

I did it last winter (edit I may have had 245/60/r18, so taller tire but not wider). They fit, but you definitely cant go any bigger. Minimal clearance of shocks on the front wheels plenty of space at the back. Probably threw off the speedometer a bit, did slightly raise the vehicle.

Pros: They fit, raised vehicle
Cons: minimal shock clearance
Vehicle: Ford Taurus

Currently on Achilles... ok naman siya. Sustained 100-140 kph sa express way going to Batangas. Nalubak ba pa nga sa Nasugbu hiway, no damage to rims or tires. Medyo maingay nga lang.

Pros: no damage to rims
Cons: medyo maingay nga lang

Achilles ATR Sport 2 aren’t too far off but I’ve only seen the Federals in photos since they are scarce here in NZ

Pros: not too far off
Cons: scarce in NZ

I don't trust them and they are noisy. If you have any issues with them, it can take a week or two to get a new one.

Cons: noisy, not trusted
Mileage: 14000 km
