Since I mounted Bosch 4-prong spark plugs, fuel economy has improved a lot. Gone from 12-13 km/l to nearly 15 km/l.
I have only used Bosch plugs in my cars, and I have not had any issues with them yet.
Bosch iridiums, these for longevity, copper ones have better spark if your concern is performance
Today I installed new spark plugs and the misfiring situation has improved significantly but is not completely gone. If I pull up the RPM too quickly the misfire counter goes up.
In my 206 classes we run this autolite sparkplug because it’s required.
My understanding is that we switched because people were buying plugs in bulk and looking for ones with the lowest internal resistance believing it would effectively advance the engines timing. Supposedly these autolite plugs are much more consistent.
i bought ngk plugs and bosch platinum triple diode plugs and i got the coil pack off ebay.
Definitely do NOT recommend Autolite spark plugs.
when I worked for a Chevy dealer we hated Bosch plugs. Chevy's just don't seem to like them, they were often the culprit in misfire diagnosis.
Don't use autolights. AC Delco for GMs & Motorcraft for Fords. Modern ignition systems are sensitive to plugs so I use whatever the OEM does (within reason)
Auto lights are trash, Bosch too. I can’t tell you how many times I get a misfire diag that the customer already put plugs in, only to find the garbage auto lights are the issue. A set of oem plugs always fixes it
