Monroe is the way to go honestly. They are some of the best on the market for OEM fit.
Monroe gas charged, why spend hundreds when less is just as good as those expensive ones.
I just back from mechanic shop with another set of stock absorber (facelift gt86) and ride is really night and day!! Firm but not harsh, can feel the road but not as uncomfortable as before.
Just replaced all 4 corners on my Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro with the Westcott Designs lift and Fox shocks and the Monroe ride a million times better than that set up with 70k miles on it.
No meu carro troquei e coloquei Monroe, tem 2 anos e 17 mil km. Rodando perfeito.
Monroe OESpectrums have a great ride and are very affordable.
Try to test the suspension the shock absorbers tend to wear out after the years so you could start to hit the bumper on traffic humps.
Monroe shocks on pick-up truck, not abused, only lasted two years. KYB was major improvement.
Yes Monroe are junk. Anything Tenneco touches usually becomes junk. Monroe started coming OE on Audi in the last couple years and I am seeing them fail in as little as 15,000 miles.
Not a mechanic, but the general consensus I read from mechanics when doing mine is that Monroe can be garbage and stick with KYB.
