I’m running Fox shocks now and they feel much better than the bilsteins wich i had prior to Fox .
As I do some offroading or mostly off pavement vs wheeling I’ve also liked my Rancho 5000s.
Had a ‘86 Blazer with snowplow and heavy duty suspension came with twin shocks up front when I replaced them I went with Rancho RS 5000 ?
I put those same Ranchos in my 2002 a couple of years ago. Night and day difference. I don't think my old shocks were doing anything at all.
I’m running the Fox Performance Elite all round on my 2020 and love them. Pricey
Any regular shocks should be fine, when I deleted autoride on my suburban I used rancho shocks from rock auto.
I’ve got rancho on my stock height xj right now and it’s not bad by any means but I don’t have anything to compare it to besides the blown OEM shocks that they replaced a few months back.
I had ranchos and my truck pretty much bounced down the road. I switched to bilstein's and it drives and tows better
factory FOX shocks knocked over road bumps (valving issue - needed to be replaced)
I have the 22 at4 with the stock rancho on there. Got the truck in march of last year and already had one of the rear shocks go out.
