Oil filter Wix or OEM Mazda

On my '21 XLE I use WIX 51394 oil filter which holds more oil and is slightly longer than OEM. I use Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W-20.

Personally, I just go ahead and spend the few extra bucks on wix XP.

Wix filters are high quality and affordable, usually get those on amazon.

Oil changes are simple, 7 quarts of Mobil 1 ESP X2 oil, quality filter - I like Wix.

YES! My 2012 Skyactiv is at 233K miles, and has always had the Mazda Moly 0W-20 (with the exception where I was able to get the Idemitsu version, which is the same stuff, but without Mazda's markup. Sucks that it isn't available anymore. ) and I'm not about to chance running a different oil.

Always run a Mazda filter too. The quality seems better than most.

I use OEM Mazda filter. Synthetic oil, Kirkland brand or Castrol since i think thats who makes the Mazda oil.

Swapped the oil filter with the recommended Wix oil filter

Wix are better than fram or microgard but they dont beat factory, they restrict oil flow more
