Tiguan owners, I can tell you from experience that you don't need to go under the car to install this! You have to reach for the boost sensor but everything can be done from up top!
I have several VAG cars and perform changes at 5k, Liquimoly kits from FCP Euro, always use a quality OE filter such as Hengst, save your records and any reasonable buyer will understand.
First of all, change the brand of the oil filter and do the same test again. My recommendation is Hengst filters, same quality with Mann and Bosch, made in the same factory in Slovakia.
I don't recommend Fram filters. I like Wix filters for budget and Quality.
For example, a Wix XP filters out 99% of material, at 35 microns, however the standard Wix filter can filter out 95% of material at 23 microns. That means the "cheap" Wix filter captures materials that are approximately 35% smaller than the "expensive" filter.
Wix is better than OEM. On my second 2.4l theata engine. Gave my old Sorrento to my daughter with 157000 miles on it and at 202000 it's still running strong but it burns about a quart a week with heavy driving. Currently driving a 2015 sonata sport and it's still going strong at 90000 miles.
Use Wix xp filters, they are metal with a rubber gasket that doesn't come off
Wix all the way…has superior filtration vs all others, as tested by Project Farm on youtube
Delco and fram filters are no different. Wix is 100% way better and a lot less when you have a commercial account
Wanna see what a Wix filter looks like after less than 10k and 1 year of driving. Notice how the paper media pulled away from the rubber support. Notice that the filter has been sucked in.
