Oil filter Motorcraft or OEM Hyundai
Lol I work at a dealership. Had 2 different Genesis coupe. Currently heavily modified. I use OEM oil filter with Liqui Moly 5w40 OIL. OEM filter due to bypass valve design and oil that is the very best.
The OEM filter is super cheap here at Hyundai parts shop in my town (cheaper than a mc happy meal) that I honestly just don't think about anything else.
I know old hyundai engines are very picky about their oil filter especially on their v6. Only use OEM filters from hyundai
6 quarts of Castrol edge full synthetic 5w30 and Motorcraft fl400s
Make sure you get an oil that is dexos gen 2
I WAS using Subscribe and Save for Amazon Full Synthetic 5W-30 and Motorcraft FL-910S Filters, but they keep running out of stock
if you use the Ford/Motor raft FL400S, you can put all 6 qts in. Our engines benefit in some way or another from the bit of extra oil, iirc. Makes it easier than measuring out to get to the 5. whatever the stock filter size is
I've used the spec Motorcraft filter (820S), and Motorcraft 5w20 synthetic oil EVERY TIME. This truck has been an absolute beast, and dead nuts reliable.
I have an 07 with the 2.4 with 170,000km on it. I change my oil myself every 5000km, and use the Hyundai OEM blue filters. Still runs like a dream.
Motorcraft are good. Mobil1 Filters are very good, and are a great idea if your going to for long OCI's. I've used filters from Baldwin - they got very good reviews on the cut-apart tests - and I have a place where I can order a half dozen at a time for less than what I pay for Frams at Walmart. I am using Motorcraft on my F250
The dealer wants a $33 for a filter lol
